December is special. It’s the month of cozy rituals, glowing lights, and that unmistakable feeling we all recognize from our favorite Christmas movies. We love those stories because, for a moment, they let us step into a world where everything feels softer, slower, brighter.

For this Christmas collection by Lavia, a home decor brand, we wanted to bring a bit of that movie-like magic into real life. I illustrated a small winter village inspired by the imagery we all carry within us: falling snow, warm chimney smoke, skaters gliding across frozen ponds, mountains and bridges, and homes that seem to glow from the inside out.
