Blanca is a specialty coffee shop based in Buenos Aires, known for its high-quality coffee, thoughtful design, and a warm atmosphere that blends art, wellbeing, and comfort.
To celebrate its journey and the opening of a new location, I designed a collectible illustrated newspaper. The piece was released at the launch of their latest café, with the goal of capturing Blanca’s essence through a visual journey of its origins, growth, and community. It was conceived as a keepsake publication, meant to enhance and accompany the experience of visiting the café.
One of the most special parts is a horizontal spread showing all of Blanca’s storefronts. On the back, instead of a typical newspaper comic, I illustrated a scene featuring their regular customers: the loyal friend with her dog, the espresso lover working on his laptop, the post‑yoga group laughing together, and students grabbing their favorite pastry after class. There’s also a custom crossword puzzle with key words from Blanca’s world, and news that reflects the café’s everyday charm.
This newspaper doesn’t just accompany the visit to Blanca — it invites people to enjoy and share those everyday rituals that turn a simple cup of coffee into something memorable. And yes, you can also solve a crossword while sipping your Flat White.
