Law Coff is a specialty coffee shop located in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It’s more than just a café. It’s a daily meeting spot for students who spend hours surrounded by books, conversations, exams and (of course) coffee. The staff has accompanied many of them throughout their academic journeys, becoming part of their routines and key moments, like their graduation. That close connection with the community was the starting point for this project.

I was invited to create a series of illustrations and graphic pieces that reflect the spirit of the place. The goal was to capture that student energy, chaotic, intense, joyful, and translate it into a visual identity that feels playful, approachable, and full of personality. The visual universe I developed lives across takeaway cups, tote bags, t-shirts, stickers, and other pieces that are part of the coffee shop’s everyday experience.

For the illustrations, I designed characters inspired by the people who bring LAW COFF to life: on one side, the staff, with a visual play where the letters LAW become part of their hairstyles and COFF shapes the collar of their shirts, and on the other, a series of students portrayed in everyday scenes: studying, heading to class, celebrating, or simply ordering a coffee. The whole system aims to convey the relaxed, cheerful, and heartfelt spirit that defines LAW COFF.
